Introducing Shutter Club

Introducing Shutter Club

We should all take more photos, with our smartphones, our DSLR's or film cameras. We should capture the world outside (or in) and share it with everyone else.

Shutter club gives you a reason to get out there and take photos. Each week and month a new theme for your photos will be posted. All you have to do is get out these and take photos and share them with everyone.

In the next week or so there will be a flickr group, an instagram account, a facebook page, a twitter account, if you can connect with other photographers we will be there.

Each month there will be an theme to help inspire you when you're out and about with your camera.

Starting in November the theme will be Autumn (Fall, for those of you the other side of the pond!). Go out and capture what this time of year means to you. It could be the steam rising off your hot chocolate or the leaves falling from the tree.

Once you've captured it share it. I will then pick some highlights at the end of the month in a review post and link to anyone who wants to be linked to (flickr page, twitter, etc)

On top of the theme for the month there will be weekly sub-themes to give you ideas of particular things to capture.

These weekly themes will give you something in particular to foucs on. It could be people, nature, life. They won't be hugely specific and shared as more of an idea of things you could go out and snap.

As the 'club' grows (hopefully!) there will be more things for members. I'm exploring the idea of competitions, giveaways, photowalks, etc.

This will happen in the future so keep your eyes peeled.
